WHAT IS DIRECT LICENSING?
Direct licensing is where the person or entity seeking a license goes directly to the person who owns the copyright and negotiates the terms of the license with the copyright owner.  This is instead of going to PPCA. You still have the option available to license the protected sound recordings through PPCA.
